Course description:
This/these session(s) will be designed to present some of the most basic terms and concepts that are used in American business. We will assume little if any previous education in business coursework, or training and experience in U.S. business practices. We will try to relate the ideas presented to personal or family experiences and use common activities as examples of business concepts. There will be plenty of time for questions and to examine in more detail, terms that you think need more of an explanation. This information should be useful both as preparation for the workplace and as an understanding of what current news events mean that relate to business and economics.
