Course description: In addition to teaching spoken and written Farsi, this course is an attempt to shed light on the culture, history, and politics of modern day Iran. We will practice writing and conversation, and also show movies, facilitate discussions, play games, cook, and so on.

What experience do you bring to this class?
We have both lived in Iran and the US, and are thoroughly familiar with Iranian culture. We are equally familiar with misperceptions about Iranian culture that are common in the United States, and we hope to address some of them through this class. Between us there is some experience teaching Persian language as well.
