Course description:
Ever worry that philosophy doesn't solve problems, that it only results in more questions? This may be the class for you: HOW TO SOLVE PHILOSOPHICAL PROBLEMS Each class session presents a hypothetical philosophical problem for discussion. Participants are encouraged to use any knowledge or skills available to them to analyze and attempt to solve each problem (if at all possible). Of course, it will be helpful to keep in mind that the purpose of the discussion is to narrow down relevant answers in a progressive manner, as opposed to carrying on round-about or tangential discussion. An atypical discussion group seeking judicious philosophy.
Class Time: 7:30 - 9:00 pm
Class Dates: Every Monday, Sept. 22 - Oct. 27
Place: Dunn Bros. Coffee - Uptown, 3348 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN
Class size: Minimum 3 Maximum 12
What experience do you bring to this class? Both facilitators are college graduates with philosophical coursework and training. Both enjoy and regularly engage in philosophical discussions.
