Course description: Screening of The Take with discussion afterward and pizza dinner. With option to carry the class further in the form of other events such as worker cooperative tours. These events are to expose U of M students and the community at large to an alternative to entering the capitalist system to earn a living: the worker owned cooperative. The Take is a surprisingly dramatic and inspiring true story of workers taking matters into their own hands and working together to make a better life for them all.
