Course description:
In the summer we had this course where we discussed international film movements. We screened around 10 films spanning Italian Neorealism, French New Wave, Soviet Montage, Iranian, Indian, Japanese and American New Wave, Chinese Generations and African Cinema. This time we'll cover some Latin American as well as films and documentaries from different countries.
Many people from the summer class have expressed the desire to continue it and they are willing to lead a particular session. Further this'll be working as an interest group (a film club) and not a class.
