Diamond Way Buddhist Center, Twin Cities is part of an international network of over 550 meditation centers in the lay Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The centers were founded and are directed by the Danish Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of the 16th Karmapa of Tibet.

We host free public meditations with short introductory talks three evenings each week (see schedule below). For October, there is an introductory lecture series beginning on the first Sunday and first Tuesday and continuing four weeks, with the same topic (but different speakers) on Sunday (at 5:45) and Tuesday (7:45). Each will be followed by a short, guided meditation and are held at our uptown location (see address below)

Week 2 - Four basic thoughts: precious opportunity, impermanence, causality, and motivation
Week 3 - Meditation and developing a practice
Week 4 - Methods of identification and student-teacher relationship

The members of the Diamond Way Buddhist Center have been practicing under the direct guidance of Lama Ole Nydahl for up to twelve years. Most have been sharing the dharma and leading meditations for most of their time while developing in their personal practices.
